fashionindiecenter was founded on a simple premise: dressing should be an authentic expression of personal narrative, free from mass-market repetition.
We are not a department store, and we are not a marketplace. We are a small curatorial team working directly with independent designers — the kind of people who cut their own patterns, hand-dye their own fabrics, and build a career one garment at a time.
We work directly with emerging independent designers, boutique artisans, and sustainable textile studios across the globe. Every piece in our shop is selected for its architectural form, tactile qualities, and longevity.
We reject seasonal throwaway culture in favor of "The Indie Wardrobe"—a versatile, evolving collection of garments that grow richer with time and personal styling.
That wardrobe is built slowly. We add new pieces in small drops rather than entire seasonal collections, because the designers we work with cannot produce at scale without sacrificing the reason we chose them in the first place. Sizes sell out. Restocks take time. This is not a flaw in our model — it is the model.
— fashionindiecenter Editorial Team
fashionindiecenter began in 2018 with a single rack of clothing in the back of a ceramics studio. The founder had spent six years working as a buyer for a mid-sized retail chain and had grown tired of watching independent labels get squeezed out of the market — not because their clothes were worse, but because they could not produce the volume the chain needed.
The first collection carried five pieces from one designer. Nothing sold for the first three weeks. Then a single coat went viral on a small Instagram account, and suddenly there was a queue. What mattered was not the viral moment — it was that the designer, for the first time in two years, got paid for a full production run without having to compromise on fabric or construction.
Over the following years, the shop grew slowly and deliberately. We added designers one at a time — never more than three in a single year. Each one was visited in person, each collection was worn and tested by our team for weeks before going live, and every piece we could not personally recommend was left off the shop entirely.
Today fashionindiecenter carries work from thirty-four independent designers across eleven countries. We have never taken a single brand on consignment, we have never accepted a payment for placement, and we have never run a sale to clear inventory. What you see on the shop is what we actually believe in.
First collection: five pieces, one designer, one rack.
Across eleven countries. Each one visited in person.
Deliberately limited. We would rather go deep than wide.
Every designer on the shop is contacted directly. No wholesale agents, no trade shows, no middlemen. This means we know exactly who made each piece and under what conditions — and so do you.
We do not ask designers to scale beyond what they can produce well. If a piece sells out, that is the correct outcome. We will not push for a larger run simply to meet demand.
We do not run four collections a year. We add pieces when they are ready, and we keep them in the shop for as long as they remain relevant. Nothing is discounted, and nothing is removed to make room for the next drop.
Every product page describes the fabric, the construction, and the designer's process. Where a piece has a limitation — a delicate weave, a specific care requirement, a sizing quirk — we say so clearly rather than hiding it in fine print.
The designers on the shop fall into three rough categories. Each one is treated differently, because each one has different needs.
Recent graduates or self-taught makers producing their first or second collection. We provide pricing guidance, photography support, and a guaranteed purchase on their first run — so they can afford to make the next one.
Small studios with a decade or more of continuous work, often family-run. These designers set their own prices, choose which pieces to release, and ship from their own workshop. We simply provide the platform and the audience.
Makers working in traditional techniques — hand-weaving, natural dyeing, leather tanning — who may produce only a few pieces a month. Their work is often the slowest to arrive and the first to sell out.
Five pieces from one designer, on a single rack in the back of a ceramics studio.
A linen atelier in Lithuania becomes the first non-local partner. Shipping infrastructure built in-house.
Launch of our styling journal, written entirely by the curatorial team rather than an external agency.
Free repairs on every garment purchased from the shop, regardless of how long ago it was bought.
The largest the shop has ever been — and the largest it will likely remain, by design.
We will never ask a designer to scale production beyond what their workshop can handle. If a piece sells out, we wait for the next run — however long that takes.
We do not discount, we do not run end-of-season sales, and we do not clear inventory. Our prices are what they cost to make, and they remain stable.
No designer has ever paid for placement on the shop. Selection is entirely editorial, and we accept no commission on the sales themselves.
We do not stock a piece because a particular silhouette is trending. We stock pieces that we believe will still be worn in ten years — not pieces that will be unwearable next season.
fashionindiecenter exists because we believe the way most people buy clothing has become disconnected from the way clothing is actually made. When a garment is designed for a single season, produced in bulk, and sold at a discount two months later, nobody in the chain — the designer, the maker, or the wearer — is treated well.
We are trying to build an alternative. A small shop, a stable group of designers, and a wardrobe that is meant to last. It is not for everyone, and we do not pretend otherwise. But for people who want to know who made their clothes and why, we are glad to have you here.
— fashionindiecenter, since 2018.
Explore our independent collections featuring expressive cuts, premium natural fabrics, and distinctive silhouettes.
Every piece on this page is made by an independent designer we have worked with directly. Stock is limited, restocks take time, and prices reflect the real cost of small-batch production — not a seasonal markup.
The most recent pieces added to the shop. Typically between three and eight garments per drop — never a full seasonal collection.
Core wardrobe pieces designed to be worn weekly for years. Neutral palettes, generous cuts, and construction that survives repeated washing.
Work from designers exploring unusual fabrics, sculptural silhouettes, and experimental construction. Fewer pieces, longer consideration.
Bags, belts, scarves, and small leather goods made by the same independent workshops that produce our garments.
Try adjusting the filters or searching a different term. If you are looking for something specific, our team is glad to help — write to us directly.
Every product page on the shop follows the same structure. This is deliberate — it means you can compare pieces honestly instead of trying to decode marketing language.
Each listing names the designer and, where applicable, the workshop where the piece was made. If a garment is produced in a family workshop, we say so. If it is made by the designer alone, we say that too.
Fabric origin, weight, and care requirements are listed in full. Where a piece has a limitation — a delicate weave, a natural variation in dye — the listing says so clearly rather than hiding it in fine print.
Measurements are provided in centimetres alongside a plain-language fit note. If a piece runs small, runs large, or fits true to size, we tell you in the description rather than relying on the size label alone.
This catalog is not designed to be browsed endlessly. It is designed to help you find one or two pieces that will actually earn a place in your wardrobe. If nothing here speaks to you today, that is fine — the shop changes slowly, and new work arrives when it is ready rather than on a fixed schedule.
If you have a question about any piece — sizing, fabric, or whether it would suit a specific use — write to us directly. Every message is read by a member of the curatorial team, and we would rather answer a question than process a return.
We offer personalized wardrobing advice, bespoke fit consultations, and dedicated customer care to ensure your pieces fit your lifestyle perfectly.
Every service below is delivered by the same curatorial team that selects the pieces on the shop. We do not outsource consultations, and we do not use stylists who have never worn the clothing themselves.
Book a 30-minute video session with our head curator to explore outfit combinations, sizing choices, and closet integration.
Sessions are conducted over video call and begin with a short written questionnaire so the curator arrives prepared. You will leave with a documented set of recommendations — not a sales pitch.
Unsure about proportions? Provide your exact measurements, and our team will recommend the perfect fit or custom modifications.
For pieces that can be altered, we work directly with the designer's workshop to arrange adjustments. Where a garment cannot be modified without compromising construction, we will tell you honestly rather than sell you the wrong size.
Curated seasonal capsules tailored to your professional and personal endeavors. Crafted exclusively from independent labels.
A wardrobe edit is a document, not a shopping cart. It outlines between six and twelve pieces, explains why each one fits your life, and identifies what is missing from what you already own. You decide what to buy, when, and in what order.
Every styling service follows the same structure. The order matters — skipping a step means the final recommendations are based on assumptions rather than facts.
A short written form covering your existing wardrobe, sizing history, lifestyle requirements, and the specific problem you want solved.
The live session itself. The curator reviews the questionnaire in advance and arrives with specific questions rather than generic guidance.
A written document delivered within three working days. Includes specific pieces, sizing notes, and a priority order for building the wardrobe over time.
One written follow-up within thirty days, free of charge. If a piece did not work as expected, we will adjust the plan rather than push the original recommendation.
If you have recently changed careers, moved to a different climate, or simply cleared out a wardrobe you no longer recognise, a full edit is the most efficient starting point.
If you already have a strong wardrobe but struggle with one specific category — outerwear, formal pieces, shoes — a single consultation is usually enough to resolve it.
If you have found it difficult to buy independent clothing online because sizing varies so much between designers, this is the service that solves that problem.
Every service is priced up front. There is no charge for the questionnaire, and no charge if you decide not to proceed after the consultation.
30-minute video session plus written recommendations
Measurements review plus alteration coordination
Full capsule document, 6–12 pieces, priority order included
Wardrobe edit with a live consultation and 30-day follow-up
The purpose of these services is not to sell you more clothing. It is to help you buy less — and to make sure that what you do buy actually earns a place in your wardrobe. Many of our sessions end with a recommendation to keep what you already own.
If you are unsure whether a styling service is right for you, write to us first. We will tell you honestly if the problem you are describing is better solved by a different approach.
